Swim Team Registration Resumes On Opening Day, Saturday May 28!

Debbie Hoover is in charge of registration this year. The fee is $80 per swimmer with a cap of $250 per family. Swim suit fitting and order forms for spirit wear will be available at the pool. Please start thinking about how you would like to volunteer your time this season. Sign ups will be available during registration. The West Laurel Swim Team is an age-group competitive summer swim team that participates in the Prince-Mont Swim League.Our swimmers have opportunities to compete in Saturday morning PMSL meets, practice B-meets (Wednesday evenings), Laurel Invitational Swim Meet, New Carrollton Relay Meet, and Knights of Columbus Mini-Meet (swimmers 10 & under).This year the Wahoos will compete in the PMSL B-division, swimming against Adelphi, BSR, Whitehall, Greenbelt, and WOW. All active Club members, ages 5-18 years, are invited to join the team.For safety purposes swimmers must be able to swim a distance of 25 meters and tread water for 30 seconds in the deep end of the pool.Tests will be conducted by our coaches with no limit to the number of attempts.
Our 2011 season begins with afternoon practices on May 31 and wraps up on July 23 with the Division Championship Meet followed that evening by Family Fun Night (Wahoo swimmers & their families have exclusive use of the pool for awards, dinner, and a season finale party).
