Saturday May 15 - Work Day at the Pool! We invite all members to come out on Sat. 5/15/10 at 9:00 AM to help out at the pool.
Some of the things we came up with are as follows:
Sanding the front desk and doing some painting. Fixing a broken picinic table outside the gate.
Checking and stocking replacement light bulbs around the entire pool.
Fixing several disconnected fence pieces.
Fixing gate to baby pool which is broken.
Fixing gutter and raised roof near the pump room.
Fixing plexiglass for sign up board damaged during the winter.
Having the lockers in the guard room cleaned out and sanitized.
Getting the white letters for the boards out front of the office for announcements.
The guard refrigerator needs to be cleaned - it is moldy. Swim team freezer seemed to be ok - may just need a wipe down.
Replace a 4' flourescent light on front message board.
Trim back bushes at top of steps to better see little ones.

President's Message
Well - we can all say that in 2010 we have “weathered the storm”!I imagine you are looking forward to enjoying a summer of fun at the West Laurel Swim Club pool as much as I am.
Your new 2010 Board, whom you elected last October, is getting the pool ready to open and I look forward to working with all the new Board members.Let me take this opportunity to thank past members for their service and to say a special thank you to Betty Mannas who retired from the Board after 33 years as Club secretary. The good news is the pool survived the hard winter with minimal damage.Several trees and juniper bushes were affected, but the pool and building suffered no structural damage.
Please let me know your ideas to continue to make our Club a great place for summer fun.I look forward to seeing all of you in May.
