As the largest private pool in Prince George’s County, the West Laurel Swim Club can boast of its popularity as a summertime recreation attraction for area residents since 1969.The Swim Club is a non-profit, membership owned organization managed by an elected Board of Directors whose aim is to assure a clean, safe, and relaxing swimming facility for all Club members.
Located on Brooklyn Bridge Road across from the Supplee Dam recreation area, the Swim Club is ideally situated for convenient access by residents of West Laurel and surrounding communities near the intersecting borders of Montgomery, Howard, and Prince George’s Counties.The Club opens Memorial Day weekend and is open through Labor Day with convenient hours of operation, 12 noon till 9 pm daily (School days operation, 3pm-8pm).
Club amenities include:
An Olympic sized pool, 50 meters, with two legs – one for diving and lap swimming, and the second a 2’-3’ shallow area for younger swimmers.
A 30’ diameter separate, fenced in, Wading Pool.
Tunnel slide
Water basketball hoop
Bath house with restrooms, shower and dressing facilities.
Lawn area for lounging with shaded pavilion, picnic tables with umbrellas.
Indoor snack bar offering sandwiches, beverages, and snacks.

Swim lessons for both children and adults, with advanced swim stroke instruction for children.
Club socials and special events for all ages.
Use of Club pavilions for birthday parties and celebrations.

The Swim Club extends an invitation to non-members who are interested in possible membership to come enjoy the Club facilities FREE for one day to see personally what the Club has to offer.Contact a member of the Board of Directors to arrange for your one-day pass and a personal introduction to the Club facilities (limit one pass per family, identification required, children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult).

Memberships may also be purchased directly from a current member if prior approval of the sale is obtained from the Board of Directors.Please let us know if you are purchasing a Club Membership at the recommendation of a current Club member.That member will receive a 90-visit Guest Pass which is worth $450 and good for 2 swim seasons as a “thank you” from the Board of Directors.
Memberships are available for a one-time purchase of $375.00 (resale to Club under provision as outlined in the By-Laws) plus a $50 one-time, nonrefundable Initiation Fee.The Club does not dictate the price of a membership sold privately by a Club member, but the Initiation Fee still applies.For a $10 Finance Charge, the Club offers purchase of Memberships on an Installment Plan of $75 down payment and 12 monthly payments of $30 each.
An Annual Maintenance Fee, to be paid by May 15, is required of all members for admittance to the Club facilities for the swim season.

Members are required to provide a current Family Picture (3”x3”) and Emergency Contact Card (updated annually) for admission to the Pool for the swim season.
